Writing from the Erotic Body

an embodied writing workshop

WRITING FROM THE EROTIC BODY- an embodied writing workshop for womxn with Eva Weaver

Creativity and sexuality are our birthright and hold incredible power, but often we have been shamed or censored in our expressions, leading us to hide, dampen or shut down those powerful sources of life force energy.

Yet, creativity and sexuality, flow through our lives like an underground river of unlimited energy, a source we can tap into whenever we chose to.
This workshop is an invitation to dive into this erotic and creative river.

We will:
* wake up our erotic/sexual bodies through movement, somatic exercises, breathwork and conscious nourishing self touch.

* create a space where you can explore what is erotic and sensual for you personally.

* tune into sensations, raise erotic energy and then take this delicious energy into free-writing.

* explore what happens when we bring sensuality and pleasure to our writing and write from a juicy, turned-on or sensually awake place.

* explore what happens when we bring this embodied writing back to movement, breath and self-touch.

* have conversations about all of this in sharing circle and small groups.

Through raising erotic energy in the body we create more embodied aliveness and a beautiful foundation for expressing our creativity.

Giving ourselves permission to show up as fully as possible as the beautiful erotic beings we are, we explore what happens when we write from an embodied and turned on place: channelling eros into creativity.

We will start with connecting with our own bodies and our sense of sensuality and eroticism erotic through gentle movement, breathwork, body-meditation and conscious self touch.

There will be solo time for conscious self touch, sharing in small groups and in the larger group.

Permission, fun, pleasure, flow and playfulness are all hugely important as we go on this journey.

I encourage you to listen deeply to your needs, desires and boundaries throughout the session and choose how much or how little you want to to engage in any exercises.

NOTE: No experience in creative writing needed. You can move as little or much as you like. All exercises can be adapted.

You do not need to share any of your personal writing in the group.

This workshop is for anyone who identifies as female or woman, as well as genderfluid, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, or non-binary folks. Trans women are warmly welcome.

We meet online on ZOOM.

What participants of ‘Writing from the Erotic Body’ have said:

‘I feel like all my wounds have been painted golden in this process, thank you.’
Feedback from participant at Winterhouse 2018

‘Getting out of my head is hard for me – and my head sometimes blocks my creative writing. A short blast of bodywork and energy flow, reconnecting with my erotic powerful core, had my pen flowing at great speed – without censure, in confidence. Then, gently guided by Eva to find the unexpected in my writing, and re-finding my core, again took me deeper and crazier in images and writing – heading to a place where my heart pulsated the ideas straight to the page. Thanks Eva – looking forward to more’  Chris Grady,

Coach

‘A unique set of tools to take me into a writing process, from deeply felt, often surprising places.’
